Samuel Howard Duggins was born 26 November 1908 in Bell County, Texas and died 11 July 1973 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas. He was the son of Matilda Arizona Kile and Samuel Houston Duggins. He married to Maurine Sumner on 13 April 1929 in Runnels County, Texas. She was born 5 October 1909 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas and died 14 March 1999 in Mesquite, Dallas County, Texas. She was the daughter of Thaddeus Sumner and Lena Pierson. He next married Alma Mary Ernst Straach on 12 November 1948 in Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas. She was born 17 November 1906 in McDade, Bastrop County, Texas and died January 30, 2003 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas.
