She is the daughter of James Marshall Duggins and Jewell Elizabeth Hughes. She married Bennie Byron Parsons 23 August 1947 in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas, son of Clarence Parsons and Bell Tabor. He was born 28 November 1925 in Coleman, Coleman County, Texas, and died 10 June 1978 in Coleman, Coleman County, Texas.
