She was the daughter of Matilda Arizona Kile and Samuel Houston Duggins. She married Jesse Edgar Howard on 3 November 1926 in Santa Anna, Coleman Couty, Texas. He was born 17 November 1900 in Iola, Grimes County, Texas and died 15 April 1990 in Coleman, Coleman County, Texas. He was the son of George Howard and Mittie Keith.
