     Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial park for Robert P. Adams, 67, of 522 North Second Street, Porterville, who died Thursday in a Bakersfield hospital.
     Bishop Gilbert Snow of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate for the former employee of the Pacific Telephone Company who retired five years ago after more than 41 years of service.
     A native of Caldwell, Kansas, Mr. Adams attended schools in Layton and Templeton.  He was married to the former Evelyn Kyle in 1927.  Eighteen of his 41 years with the telephone company were served in the Bakersfield area.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Porterville, Order of the Eastern Star, Lions Club and Telephone Company Pioneer's Club.
     A Porterville resident for the past 23 years, the deceased is survived by the widow; mother, Mrs. Cora Haggerman of Paso Robles; two brothers, Kenneth of Paso Robles, and Lowell of Templeton; and two sisters, Mrs. Gail Dildine and Mrs. Legretta Traver, both of Templeton.  
     Pallbearers will be Norman and James Kyle, Otto Lawrence, Chester Myers, Estell Campbell and Arnold Kanoy.
