Rosemary Parsons
COLEMAN -- Rosemary Parsons, age 78 of Coleman, died Friday, March 5, 2004 in San Angelo. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Santa Anna Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parsons was born September 16, 1925 in the Liberty community in Coleman County. She grew up in Liberty and graduated from Coleman High School. She later graduated from Howard-Payne University with Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education degrees. She married Bennie Parson in Brownwood on August 23, 1947. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1978. Mrs. Parsons taught school for 34 years in Amarillo, Bangs, Cross Roads, Burkett, Talpa-Centennial and Coleman. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Retired Teachers Association and Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Randy Ward of Llano; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Lavelle Parsons of Temple; three grandchildren, Ryan Ward of San Angelo, Christy and Allyson Ward of Llano; one great grandchild, Lane Ward of San Angelo; one niece, three nephews and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Duggins.
Family visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
