Winnie Mae Lane, age 87 of Bangs, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2005 at the Coleman County Medical Center. Winnie was born October 24, 1917 to Luther Austin Kile and Ulala Mahala McQueen Kile. She married the late Jim Rice (J. R.) Lane on September 2, 1938. She worked as a General Business Operator and had worked for the Texas Youth Commission in Brownwood as a house parent for 10 years. Winnie is survived by 1 Daughter and Son-in-Law Peggy & Gib Young of Lubbock. 4 Sons and 3 Daughters-in-Law, Danny & Sally Lane of Coleman County, Jim Lane of Kingwood, Ward & Pat Lane of Dallas, Rick & Barbara Lane of Aledo, Texas. 1 Brother, Curtis Kile of Coleman. 6 Grand-Children and Grand-Children-in-laws; Rebecca & Steve Kokkinakis, Mark Lane, Cathey & Keith Vinson, Kimberly Lane, Marguerite Lane & Spouse Rob Pearce, Lane & Angela Young. Also Surviving are 4 Great Grand-Children. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Daughter-in-Law Cindy Lane, and 4 brothers; Wesley Kile, Luther Kile, Wayne Kile and Ben Kile. Family visitation will be Tuesday from 6: 00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday August 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elm Street Church of Christ with Joe Hailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to either the West Texas Rehab. or the Coleman Senior Center.
