Katie (Abernathy) Kile, 78
"Aunt" Katie (Abernathy) Kile, 78, a lifetime resident of Coleman, died Friday, September 17, 1993 at Abilene Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday) at 2:00 p.m. at Elm Street Church of Christ with Britt Farmer officiating. Burial will be at Brown Ranch Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kile was born on Feb. 25, 1915 at Fisk, Texas, the daughter of the late Art and Gertrude Field Abernathy. She attended school at Brown Ranch. On January 2, 1937, she and Wesley Kile were married in Silver Valley. She was a housewife and a member of the Elm Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley Kile, of Coleman; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother, A.C. Abernathy, in 1969.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Baugh, Roy Buse, Jim Hayes, G. W. Wilson, Melton Kennedy and John Holtz.
