"Coleman Democrat-Voice." J. R. LANE DIES SUDDENLY THURSDAY.
     J. R. Lane, 49, owner and operator of Lane Egg Farm on the Burkett Route, died suddenly at his home 1:30 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 1964. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Coleman City Cemetery.
     Officiating ministers were David Fultz of Coleman and Douglas Robison of Mineral Wells. Pallbearers were Bert Fowler, Ben Wilson, John Skelton, N. D. Van Dalsen, R. L Rankin and Clyde Cox.
     Mr. Lane was born in Marlin, May28, 1915 and he and Miss Winnie Kile were married at Santa Anna, Sept. 2, 1938. A resident of Coleman most of his life, he was a member of the Church of Christ.
     Survivors are the wife, Mrs. J. R. Lane Coleman, four sons, Jim Lane of Wichita Falls, Ward Lane of Dallas, Ricky Lane of Lubbock and Danny Lane of Coleman, one daughter, Peggy Lane of Denver, Colorado and two grand daughters; Becky Lane of Wichita Falls and Cathy Young of Denver.
     Other survivors are one brother, Scott Lane of Coleman and three sisters; Mrs. Fred Jackson of Coleman, Mrs. T. L. Scarborough of Coleman, Mrs. Billy Morris of Lubbock.
     Interment was in Coleman City Cemetery with Stevens Funeral Home in charge.
