     Services were held Sunday, November 29, 4 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Webb officiating and assisted by Rev. R. R. Lanham.  Burial followed at the Brown Ranch Cemetery.
     Mrs. Metts was born December 13, 1921 in Fisk, Texas the daughter of the late Oran and Anna McQueen Haney.  She grew up in Fisk and attended school at Mozelle.  In 1939, she married Homer Metts in Coleman and he preceded her in death in 1972.  She moved to Brownfield in 1979, was a homemaker and a member of Brownfield United Penecostal Church.
     Surviviors include one son, Wendell Metts of Brownfield; two daughters, Patty Hackett of Grain Valley, MO, and Carol Metts of Brownfield; two sisters, Faye Lynn of Odessa, MO, and Shirley Tredaway of Brownfield; one brother, Carl Haney of Odessa MO; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Bearce, in 1974.
     Pallbearers were Curtis Kile, Alton Hamilton, Cecil Keeney, Howard M. Bearce, and Roy Lynn McQueen.
