FUNERAL FOR BENNIE PARSONS HELD TODAY.
Bennie Parsons, water operator for the city of Coleman, was dead on arrival at Overall-Morris Hospital at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10,1978. Funeral services ware held at First Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. Sunday and internment was in Santa Anna Cemetery under direction of Walker Funeral Home.
Officiating minister was the Rev. Gary Boyd, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and pallbearers were Freddie Burton, Bobby Fenton, Bill LeMay, Nance Campbell, R. L. Turner, Randie Brewer, Bill Wilder and Doyle Ward.
Mr. Parsons was born in Coleman County, November 28, 1925 to Clarence and Belle Tabor Parsons and he and Rosemary Duggins were married in Brownwood October 23, 1947. A resident of Coleman all of his life, he was a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Among his survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rosemary Parsons of Coleman; one daughter, Mrs. Randy [Jan] Ward, one grandson, Ryan Ward, of San Angelo; and two brothers, Wayne Parsons of Temple and Stanley Parsons of Amarillo.
