Charles Lindley Kyle was born 12 September 1937 in Hobbs, Lea County, New Mexico. He is the son of Robert Lindley Kyle and Leona Lee. He married Wanda Mae Watts 9 May 1958 in Tahlequah, Cherokee County, Oklahoma. She was born 16 March 1938 in Durham, Arkansas.
